Perspective

I've been sitting in a hospital waiting room for a week now. My grandpa is in the ICU and is fighting for his life. Being here has brought up a lot of emotions; there have been a lot of tears shed, and yet my faith seems to be rising. There are times where I don't feel like I have faith, but I know that no matter what, God is still good. I have had to take a step back and get the Lord's perspective on the situation. What is the Lord wanting to do through this situation? How is He going to be glorified?
While I've been sitting here with my family, we have met a few other families as well. We have gotten to know them some, and know their situations. I was able to pray with one woman...her friend is no longer in ICU. I've met another woman who took her significant other off the machine that was keeping him alive, and another family who is going through that tonight. Meeting these families has given me perspective. My grandpa is really sick, but at least I have him still: for now. I don't have to make that determination to remove him from life support. I also have the comfort of knowing that if he does pass away, he is going to immediately be in the presence of the Lord! I'm excited about that! That is why I feel my faith is raising.

Please continue to join me in prayer for my grandpa, as he has a long road of healing to travel, and he still has a lot of hurdles to overcome.
