Meagan Fernandez {Preview}
Ok, I know it has been a long time since I last blogged. There has been a lot going on, and I have neglected my blog. Sorry for all those (or those 2) who follow me... I recently had a photo shoot with a great girl. I will write more about her when I post more pictures, but I wanted to put up a preview of the day!

Things that bring you rest
We all have those things that the Lord has given us to bring us joy, peace and rest. For me, one of those things is photography. I have been doing photography for 12 years now.. starting out with a point and shoot camera, but learning what it means to compose a shot. All through high school and college I have used photography as an outlet for "stress relief". I have been pursuing photography as a form of income lately, but the past few months, I realized that I haven't been doing photography just for fun. It is something that the Lord has provided for me to get rest through, yet I have not been doing it. SO, the other night, I was talking with Kim and we decided to go out and do a shoot for fun! We called Rach up and out we went. No agenda, just my friends, me and my camera! Here are a few of the shots from our day!!

Ben and Bethany (and technically Elisha!)
A few months ago I did a shoot with Ben and Bethany. Since that shoot, they found out that they were expecting, and this past weekend I had the joy of shooting their maternity pictures! It was a full afternoon affair, I went to their house after church for a gluten free lunch, and then we starting taking pictures. I HAD SO MUCH FUN! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day!

A special shoot for me
This past weekend, I was able to shoot a great family. This shoot actually meant a lot to me, because the last time I photographed Carina, was the day she told her closest friends that she and Chris were expecting. Now, just over a year and a half later, I get to photograph Chris, Carina and their precious baby Lars!!!
The morning was perfect! Perfect lighting, leaves on the ground and perfect weather! Not too cold, and not too hot!
Enjoy...

Mr. and Mrs. David Sowers

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to learn from and shoot with Amy Conner (check out her work here and here). I had such an amazing day being a 2nd shooter, but above even shooting pictures, I am honored that Amy would even take the time to show me some stuff... to allow me to shadow her. She is such an amazing photographer!
Check out some of the images from this amazing wedding!!!

Introducing.. Daniel and Drew Gill
I had the joy a few weeks ago of photographing these adorable twins- Daniel and Drew Gill. They were such happy babies the day of the shoot and that always makes things enjoyable! I am so happy with how they turned out!!

Now, unfortunately, their dad is an Auburn fan... So of course, we threw his hat on the boys... Although I would have liked a different hat ;) these images turned out wonderful!!!
